The latin word Caelatura means engraving.
The engraving burin is used on plexiglas plates, a surface that allows both the performance of a particular colour and the use of the engraving technique. In this numerous series (more than fourthy paintings) Drascek chooses plexiglas because of the need for light materials - in the exact sense of the specific weight - and because the boundaries of plexiglas or rather its low resistance to abrasion, is an increase of possibilities for a technical solution: the use of abrasive techniques and burin are a confirmation for this. The line - an element that marks the works - that as an inscription on burin, assumes a value of measure in composition.
